1. 従順 | Obedience
ギデオンの最初の従順な行動は、公の場でも劇的なものでもなく、ミディアン人と対峙する前に、彼自身の家で、誰にも見られないところで行われました。あなたの生活の中で、他の人には見えないかもしれないけれど、神が同じような従順を求めておられる分野はどこですか？
Gideon's first act of obedience wasn't public or dramatic; it was private, in his own home, before he ever faced Midian. What's one area of your own life, maybe something no one else would see, where God may be asking for that kind of obedience before anything else?
2. 99%の人々へ | The 99%
私たちの周りのほとんどの人は、人生が苦しくなると、何かを叫び求めるものです。それは例えば、仕事、人間関係、コントロール、運などです。東京に住む多くの人々には叫ぶという本能があります。ただ、その叫びを本当に委ねられる神がいることを知らないだけなのです。あなたの周りで、今、救うことができないものに向かって叫んでいる人は誰ですか？今週、その人をこの、救うことができる神へとそっと指し示すために、あなたには何ができますか？
Nearly everyone around us is already crying out to something when life gets hard: work, relationships, control, luck, etc. Many people in Tokyo have the instinct to cry out; they just don't know there's a God who can actually be trusted with it. Who in your life is currently crying out to something that can't save them? What can you do this week to gently point them toward the God who can save?
3. 恵みのみであることを伝える | Sharing Grace Alone
ギデオンの物語の中で、初めて聞く人に説明するのが難しい部分は、なぜ神がイスラエルを救う前に、あえて彼らを弱くされたのかということかもしれません。あなた自身の言葉で説明するとしたら、恵みのみによって救われる神が、自分の力に報いる神よりも、なぜ実は良い知らせなのかについて、どのように伝えますか？今週、それを伝えてみたい相手は誰ですか？
A hard part of Gideon's story to explain to someone who's never heard it may be why God would deliberately make Israel weaker before saving them. How would you explain, in your own words, why God saving by grace alone is actually better news than a God who rewards our own effort? Who is one person you could try explaining that to this week?
